The Legendary Jimi Hendrix's Royal Hussar Jacket

Jimi loved wore military Jackets, to the point of bringing controversy among military themselves but his all time favorite and our all time favorite is the Royal Hussar Jacket. 

The origin of the jacket go way back in the history around the 1800's here you can find a painting of the General Lasalle known as "The Hussar General" wearing a similar jacket, the Austrian knots on the sleeves showed the rank of the person and is it adorned with heavy horizontal tasseled gold rope across the chest called pelisse.

Jimi Hendrix purchased this jacket at the same dealer than Mick Jagger and his red drummers’ military tunic, all the most famous stylish rock star had the same address:

“I Was Lord Kitchener’s Valet”
